Vincet Comarda was drafted to World War II when he was 19 years old. He was captured by the Germans and spent 5 days on a box car. He was held captive at Berga Slave Camp, starved and forced to chisel stone on his knees for 12 hours a day. He now has 2 steel knee replacements.
Of the 200 GI’s that he was captured with, only 100 remained to be liberated.
